THE GOAL​

​

Sub-Zero needed a distinct identity and collateral suite to celebrate 80 years of craftsmanship, innovation, and luxury in the appliance space. The identity needed to reflect the company’s longevity, prestige, and forward‑looking spirit, while also honouring its heritage. The deliverables included the anniversary mark and visual materials for communication and events.

THE STRATEGY​

​

To communicate 80 years of legacy, I designed a logo that intertwines the figures “8” and “0” in
a way that also implies the symbol of infinity, suggesting both longevity and the ongoing journey ahead. For the collateral, I selected a refined black, white, and silver palette, with silver evoking celebration and premium quality, while also referencing the iconic stainless steel of the products. I anchored the visuals with historical photography (founders, early factories, classic product moments) to ground the identity in heritage while pairing them with modern, clean design elements for a contemporary feel.

THE OUTCOME​

​

The final identity and collateral elevated the anniversary to a premium brand moment. The mark and materials, from invitations, event banners, stickers, to printed assets, communicated both the storied past and the aspirational future of the brand. This campaign allowed the brand to celebrate its milestone in style and reinforced its positioning as a leader in luxury appliances.
