SUB-ZERO, WOLF, AND COVE ⎯
KITCHEN DESIGN CONTEST

CLIENT: Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove

ROLE: Rebrand

DATE: 2024

THE GOAL

Sub-Zero’s Kitchen Design Contest is a long-standing program that celebrates innovation in luxury kitchen design. In previous years, the contest branding changed to reflect each event’s theme or location.

For the latest cycle, the team wanted a shift, a timeless, evergreen identity that could anchor the contest across future years, simplify rollout, and reinforce its prestige.

THE STRATEGY

A focus on crafting a logo that could both seamlessly integrate with the existing Sub-Zero brand and also stand alone as its own mark. The design had to reflect the sophistication of the contest without feeling trendy or disposable. I used Sub-Zero’s existing typeface to build continuity and paired it with a delicate ornament on the leg of the "K", echoing the clean lines and precision that define the polished design of the kitchens that are submitted. The final mark is elegant, flexible, and future-proof, adaptable across digital, print, and environmental use cases.

THE OUTCOME

The identity system was adopted as the official brand for future Kitchen Design Contests. It now
lives across marketing materials, external promotions, and assets used in the final gala, creating consistency year over year and establishing a more permanent visual anchor for one of the brand’s
most important initiatives.
